Alan Baker has returned to the Trustee Board as Chair
Alan Baker is an experienced professional independent trustee with extensive expertise in pension scheme funding, investment strategy and ongoing operations. As well as Lafarge he chairs the £5 billion Boots Pension Scheme and is a trustee on 3 other schemes.
He has been a trustee since 2019 and before that was a partner at the pensions consultancy firm Mercer.
Known for his collaborative and pragmatic approach, Alan helps trustees and sponsors navigate complex challenges, delivering strong outcomes for both members and employers through effective governance, risk management and stakeholder engagement.
